wood destroying insect information report

This is the official report that is used in  real estate closings. This form is put out by the structural pest control committee governed by the Department of Agriculture. This is the form used to certify that no visible signs of wood destroying insects were found in the structure to be bought or sold. This simple report is done by a qualified inspector stating that no infestation active or inactive was observed. Also notes any conditions conducive to termites were observed such as high moisture, wood to earth contact, stucco, or any other situation that could be observed. If this report indicates an active infestation then it is the responsibility of the current homeowner to correct  and have the control measures performed. Below is an actual photo of the form on both sides

DellPest does an extensive inspection of all accessible areas of the structure. We take moisture readings with a highly specialized meter . See below what the meter looks like that detects moisture percentages. There should be no more than 20% moisture on wooden members of the structure. Laws may vary state to state involving the terms of this report. Since we are liable for for up to one million dollars in termite damages we do charge a nominal fee to write the letter.
